VALENTINE FUN

1/26/2013

It's been way too long since we've had a contest on the website. So, one and all, how about sharing your idea of a romantic Valentine's Day. (Keep it PG please.) We'll pick a lucky winner and send her/him this fun little Valentine goody package consisting of a cinnamon scented candle, a Seattle's Best chocolate bar, and a rose lollipop. We'll run this until the 7th of February and announce our winner on the 8th. And maybe, if you're lucky, your goodies will arrive in time for the big day. (Or, if they don't, it will just extend the fun, right?) So... what are you planning (or hoping) to do on the big day of romance? (By the way, if you submit a really cool answer it might just make it into my February newsletter!)

I'm planning on having that as a "me" day and do something nice for myself, or just do something fun.

A nice day of pampering (massage, nails, hair, etc) followed by a special dinner for two and then snuggling and maybe watching a movie :)
Thanks for the awesome Valentine giveaway!

A big bouquet of assorted carnations(My favorite flowers, especially the barbershop variety - white white red stripes) from my husband. Nest having him whisk me away to a surprise destination for a wonderful dinner and dessert at home for a candlelit cheesecake experience.

I don't know! My husband told my girlfriends he is planning something special. And then he told ME he's planning something special. I have no idea what it is, but this man is romantic! He proposed to me on the phone (we hadn't seen each other in 10 years), then showed up with roses and rings, and dropped to one knee. We've been happily married for almost six wonderful years. Man, I love my sweetheart!

Valentine's Day would of course begin with heart-shaped pancakes with chocolate chips and strawberry syrup, hopefully served in bed, but not holding out for that one. Then my husband and I would go horseback riding if it was a nice (but I do live in Montana so might have to skip that one). We would grab a bite of lunch, have a nice nap with lots of snuggles, then go out for a romantic dinner, come home and snuggle on the couch with hot chocolate and watch the fire flicker in the fire place, oh did I mentioned there is an awesome fluffy, soft rug in front of that fireplace?

A nice dinner out and just spend the rest of the evening watching a good movie.

I know I made a comment up above, but I wanted to revise it since I know exactly what I'm doing. I'm taking February 14 off from work and going make it a "me" day. I'm going to take a few exercise classes (one that I've always wanted to try but haven't yet) and swim some laps. Just because I don't have someone in my life (other than my 20 yr. young furry cat), doesn't mean I can't do something for me. p.s. That giveaway sounds devine, and you're a very special person as well.

I usually make a nice dinner or we go out to eat. Sometimes I receive flowers, sometimes not. We don't really exchange gifts. We've been married for 31 1/2 years - where does the time go! - and dated for 5 years before getting married.
Love your books. Love the idea of this giveaway too.
Thanks for the contest.

My idea of the perfect Valentines Day with my hubby is a small hotel room with a jacuzzi overlooking the beach. First we'd spend a little time in the jacuzzi being romantic and watching the sunset. Then we'd share a candlelight dinner. Afterwards, we'd snuggle up to watch a romantic movie, then close out the night with a little more jacuzzi time before heading to bed (to do more than sleep, that's for sure).
