I don't own any credit cards so I can only purchase items with the money that I make each week. I will only buy food or other items that are on sale and always use coupons. There's a story by me called Bed Bath & Beyond and they are always sending coupons. The coupons never expire, so I buy all my toiletries there and just about everything else with coupons, and they will accept store coupons. I will also ask myself do I really need that. That's how I save money.

I only buy food items that are on sale and plan my menus for the week around those purchases or what I have on hand.

The only clothing I buy for my family is thrift shop clothing WITH coupons from those thrift stores. We are coupon fanatics! Family of 5 on a single income budget!

I do alot of my shopping at the drug stores. Using coupons I buy on sale and the drug stores have a lot of items they give you back money (RR, ECBs, Uprewards). It's really safed us money over time.

I belong to 2 Mystery Book Clubs and most of the members share books either by loaning them or trading them...it's a great way to save money. And if they don't have the one I need I trade others at the Used Bookstore where I can earn credit towards buying other books. It's helped a lot from buying new editions of books. Especially since one of the book clubs meets weekly and the books start to add up.
