A New Contest!

We are definitely giving you all plenty of fun contests for my newest release STARTING OVER ON BLACKBERRY LANE. If the recipe contest mentioned on the home page didn't do it for you (perhaps you'd rather eat than cook!) try this one on for size. Just post your short answer to this question: If you could start over when and how would you do it?
Now, perhaps there is nothing you would do differently. That's okay, too. You can just say something like, "You know, I'm good right where I am." And if you want to tell me what you liked about my three heroines and their hunky handyman, feel free. (Although, while I love it when you all rave about my books, raving really won't get you any extra Sheila points as we'll be drawing a name out of the proverbial hat.
Contest ends April 1 and I'm not foolin'.
And remember, if we notify you that you're a winner, it's your job to get back to me within a week of when the contest ends. We don't hold onto this stuff forever. Especially when the prize includes something yummy!
Looking forward to what you all have to say.
Sheila

I would not do anything differently; I have been married to a wonderful man for 50 years this past June.

I would have made my career in something to do with books and/or history - that's where my interest has always been.

I'd start my life over when I retire in three years. I'd move to Anna Maria Island Florida (known to be like the Florida of old times); I'd bring my big floppy red Labradoodle named Boomerang (sometimes she gets away from me but she always manages to come back!) and an endless supply of flip flops. I'd open a chic but tiny clothing boutique right on the beach named "Lemon Drops" and I'd gossip and laugh with all the other shop owners, customers, and beach lovers. Me and Boomerang would go out on our pontoon boat ("Fiddler Crab") at sunset and cross the lagoon to a little bar and grill where I order fresh Mojitos and smoked mullet for me and a basket of steamed gulf shrimp for Boomerang. Each day would pass blissfully into the next; each sunset growing more spectacular; each day more relaxing than the one before. Now how could THIS life ever get any better?!

I would not change anything, because I wouldn't have the family or the love we share with each other.

The only thing I would change is spend more time with my brother before he died at age 34. He's been gone 23 years, and I miss him every day. We need to hold our loved ones near while we can.

There are so many things I could change but the truth is it's what it was supposed to be. I wouldn't have my memories or children and grandchildren. I'm looking forward to reading Starting Over on Blackberry Lane.

I like my life just as it is. Small city in Ontario Canada, love the pace, and having all family and friends close by. Would agree with above comment about Anna Maria Island in Florida. Best vacations ever have been there, and I go back as often as I can.

I don't think I would have done differently. Everything, the good and bad, has brought me to where I am, taught me who I am, and helps be become a better person in the future.

I would start over in high school. I went through cancer treatments in 8th-9th grade and finally got back to teen life my sophomore year. I would take more chances on love and not be so afraid to live. 😊

I would either restart at the age of 10 so I could revisit my collie dog, Lady or I would restart at the age of 29. Both of these would have to be done with the wisdom of my current age intact!

I would have listen to my father & granny when I graduated from high school and not gotten married in 6 months - I would have gone either to nursing or secretarial school - I know I might not have my 3 girls but maybe my life would have been a lot better and less stressful and then maybe not.
