One of the greatest heart lifts for me has always been doing for and thinking of others. Having retired to Las Vegas two years ago, I am now far from my sisters and longtime girlfriends. I have carefully shopped for cards for each of them, and will include a Starbucks card, so we can "meet" via Facetime and have coffee dates! On the home front, my husband will remember me with flowers and dinner and a "date night" watching our favorite NCAA team - Gonzaga - on tv!
I love to make Valentines Day great for my husband. I like to give him a romantic dinner with music in the background then give him an all over body masage to totally relax him. Then leave him alone for a few hours to watch his favorite sports channel. At the end of the day, snuggle up to him. He enjoys the personal attention, especially since most of his days and nights are overwhelmining hectic.
Well have my grand daughter that evening so her parents can go out to dinner and see a movie all by themselves. We'll take her out to dinner and then we'll come home and watch the movie of her choice.
