Hey there, fellow readers and foodies, I'm putting together a collection of chocolate candy recipes for next year's novel. Have you got a great original family recipe? Maybe you've concocted something yummy that's been the hit of family gatherings. Or maybe you're up for the challenge of coming up with something right now! Whatever. Share it here and you might just make it into my novel. (You will of course, get credit, just like past contributors have). There is a deadline (because, hey, I've got a deadline). Post your recipe by September 15th so we have time to test it here in the kitchen of Sheila Crockpot. Who knows, you might just find yourself famous!
BTW, this one is open to all you non- U.S. residents as well since the "prize" will be getting into the book. (Providing you make the cut with my editor.) So, ready, set, cook!

Mom's Famous Chocolate Cake.

Pick up a box of devil's food cake mix. Follow the directions on the box. The mystery ingredient? Add a small container of cherry pie filling!

It makes the cake super moist!

2 cups of Captain Crunch peanut butter cereal
2 cups of broken pretzel sticks
2 cups of roasted peanuts
1 bag of white chocolate disks (found at most stores like (Michael's) can use any color depending on the holiday.
Mix first three ingredients together.
Melt chocolate disks in microwave until thoroughly melted. Pour over mixed ingredients. Working fast (so chocolate doesn't set up) drop by teaspoon on wax paper Or whatever size you want. If the chocolate sets up before you can spoon them all out microwave for a several seconds to heat chocolate again and continue spooning out. Once set up you won't be able to eat just one. Enjoy :)
